2017 Day Camper Tuition: $360*
Day Campers are at the String Odyssey from 9am to 4:30pm.  Tuition includes all activities, camp t-shirt, and a VCU recreation pass, but no meals.

2017 Resident Camper Tuition: $870*
The resident camper fee includes tuition, camp t-shirt, and 7 days, 6 nights in double occupancy rooms, all meals, a bedding package, and VCU recreation pass. For more information on Resident Campers, click here.  Resident campers must be at least 12 years of age at the time of camp.

*Tuition includes a $25 non-refundable registration fee

 Optional Private Lessons • $35/half hour
Optional private lessons(30 min) are taught by Orchestra Project faculty for an additional $35 fee per person.   Lessons are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to 2 per student based on schedule availability.  Lessons are held during camp hours.


Financial assistance application deadline: Friday, April 28, 2017.
A limited amount of financial assistance is available, based on need and on a first come, first-served basis. Financial assistance is available for the tuition portion of camp only.  Dormitory costs of $510 are not eligible for assistance.  Tuition assistance will be applied on a sliding scale: families may be eligible for 25%,50%, 75%, or 90%  of tuition costs.

After April 1 the tuition price will increase by $20

Final Registration Deadline: May 26, 2017
Don’t wait to register!  A limited number of positions are available and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  String Odyssey enrolls approximately 100 string players each summer.  A limited number of positions per instrument are available and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  This is especially true for violins.  Apply early to reserve your slot!

With application: $200 deposit (includes the $25 non-refundable registration fee)
May 26, 2017: Final balance due


No refunds will be granted after May 26, 2017.
