2017 TUITION, FEES & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

2017 Day Camper: $570*

Day Campers are at the Orchestra Project 9am to 5pm. Tuition includes all camp activities, camp t-shirt, and VCU recreation pass, but no meals. Private lesson included in tuition!

2017 Resident Camper: $1080*

The resident camper fee includes tuition, camp t-shirt, 7 days, 6 nights in double occupancy rooms, all meals, and VCU recreation pass. For more information on Resident Campers, click here.  Private lesson included in tuition!

PAYMENT SCHEDULE

  • $20 non-refundable application fee due at time of registration (after March 10 application fee is $40)
  • $200 non-refundable deposit due upon acceptance (notification of acceptance occurs around April 12).
  • Final Balance due by May 26, 2017
  • No refunds will be granted after May 26, 2017.

Late Audition – Considered case by case
Auditions submitted after March 25 will be considered if there are vacancies. Please inquire via email.

NOTIFICATION
Notification of acceptance: April 12, 2017, students will be notified by email. Students must accept or decline their invitation into String Intensive within one week of receiving the invitation.  Students not accepted into String Intensive will automatically be enrolled into String Odyssey.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STRING INTENSIVE
VCUarts is generously sponsoring a limited number of merit  scholarships, specifically earmarked for talented String Intensive Students.  Scholarships are partial awards, no full scholarships are available.  Students who have registered and submitted an audition by March 25 will automatically be considered for a Merit Scholarship.

NEED-BASED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Financial assistance application deadline: Friday, April 28, 2017.*

A limited amount of financial assistance is available, based on need and on a first come, first-served basis.  Financial assistance is available for the tuition portion of camp only.  Dormitory costs of $510 are not eligible for assistance.  Tuition assistance will be applied on a sliding scale: families may be eligible for 25%,50%, 75%, or 90%  of tuition costs.

*Remember that applicants must apply and audition by March 25, – the financial assistance application may be submitted following the notification letter.
